I am not a government official, not a political expert, and not a highly educated person. I am simply an ordinary citizen who looks at the world with heart and common sense. But from this simple viewpoint, I see a painful truth: the United Nations is gradually losing its meaning as the guardian of global peace.
An organization created to protect humanity from war and cruelty now often appears powerless—or intentionally kept powerless—before the might of powerful nations.

The UN was founded on the principle of equality among nations. Yet the existence of the veto power held by five permanent members—the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China—contradicts that very idea.
With a single veto, one country can cancel the will of 190 others.
This is the UN's greatest irony: the powerful decide, while the weak can only hope.
2. Palestine: The Most Striking Symbol of UN Failure
Palestine has been recognized by most of the world. Countless resolutions have been passed. The UN has repeatedly called for ceasefires and humanitarian access.
But every day, Palestinian civilians—children, women, and families—continue to die. Homes are destroyed, hospitals collapse, and refugees multiply.
